A few years ago, I saw a beautiful jacket on a girl in London, quite near Nottinghill. It was cold and she carried a beautiful Prada handbag. Being quite a shy person it surprised me when I just walked up to her to ask where the jacket was from. I guess when I really want to know something, nothing will stop me! She replied with "it's vintage!" ..and this was the beginning of my fascination and obsession with finding beautiful vintage pieces.
A few months later, on a trip to London we stumbled upon Portobello market. When I say stumbled.. I was searching for it for ages..(hours)...had slightly given up but eventually found it!! Stalls upon stalls and tables upon tables displayed antique watches, chests, vases, furniture. It is only when you walk further do you arrive at all of the wonderful coats, scarves, jewelry and bags!! I bought this bag..after a little bit of haggling and although it is quite heavy, that is what I love about it. It never loses its shape and you can prop it up anywhere. I like to imagine who owned it before and what their style was.
