Vintage Factory Cart by Jacob Wener

The Vintage Factory Cart is a genuine industrial factory cart rescued from a box factory in Downtown Chicago, IL. Reminiscent of the industrial age of American manufacturing, the rough appearance is supported by a sturdy composition. Modern Industry only uses solid hardwoods that have been sustainably resourced. The wood is processed by hand, using the same methods used by craftsmen a century ago. Between the vintage materials and age-old techniques, it's a new classic to pass down for generations.

Owned by designer/fabricator Jacob Wener, Modern Industry is a Chicago, Illinois based furniture manufacturer. With roots deep in the heart of the American Midwest, the shop lives and breathes by one simple ethos: to bring the art of hand craftsmanship back to the world of home furnishings.

 Modern Industry was born as a result of the ownerís inability to find contemporary furniture of genuine substance. If furniture is made to be discarded and replaced after 10 years, how will we pass down our heirlooms to the next generation? Our ancestors figured it out centuries ago- craft beautiful objects out of solid materials that will stand the test of time.
