Vin Diesel is one of the best american actors, known for his portrayals of Dominic Toretto in The Fast and the Furious film series. He was born July 18, 1967 in Alameda County, California. He was raised in New York City’s Greenwich Village by his astrologer/psychologist mother, Delora Sherleen (Sinclair), and adoptive father, Irving H. Vincent, an acting instructor and theater manager, in an artist’s housing project. He never knew his biological father. In 2014, Diesel lent his distinctive voice to the character of Groot in the sci-fi adventure Guardians of the Galaxy, an international blockbuster that grossed around $770 million.
