Vennela ½ is the directorial debut of comedian ‘Vennela’ Kishore. The film has been in cans for a long time and it is finally going to hit screens today all over. A preview show was held for the film and here is the report from it.
The film is an absolute waste of time and felt like a test shoot film for an actual film rather than being a real film. It tries to pack in as much comedy as it can, which is mostly loud and vulgar, but most of it fell flat on its face. At a point it feels like the director is pleading the audience to laugh and yet the laugh hardly comes.
Finally all we can say is let us all wait for the next film from ‘Vennela’ Kishore and ‘hope’ that after this test shoot he has got some sense of film making because frankly even a short film on Youtube would be way more classy and entertaining than this. In fact it would be an insult to compare some of those short films to this mess.
