English indie rockers Veludo Planes follow the tried-and-true recipe for a catchy song about a girl: loud, quiet, loud topped off with a short solo and the drums dropping out for a couple of bars to hammer home the message of the lyrics. Bonus points for the controlled swagger that pushes the track forward.
The Smith twins are the band's songwriters and take care of the vocals. Recommended if you like Oasis and The Replacements.
