Big Z, the debut single by Amsterdam based English/American duo VeldHans, transports the listener to a bar in the roaring Twenties. It's easy to picture them playing on a cramped stage, playing a variety of instruments to create bric-à-brac sound about halfway early jazz and sideshow music.
Stuart Cullen (Pilote) and Jonathan Brown (Dusty Stray) share a love for instantly hummable melodies, found sounds and filed recordings. Their debut album The Becalming will be released through OneAcreRecordings and Great Waters on September 25.
