Manchester alternative rock band Valetta garnered rave reviews for their remarkable debut single Irregular Low. Follow-up Dead To The World is even more intens. It is a maze of emotions about singer Alex Orosa's issues with desorientation, wrapped in a seamless jigsaw puzzle of synths and guitars, tied together with walking bass and sparse percussion. With bands like these art rock could make a long overdue comeback.
