By Amsterdam City Tours

So with Christmas just behind us, it's time to turn our attention to the next gift-giving opportunity! To make things easy on all Cupids out there, here are the five of the best Valentine's Day destinations in Europe.

San Valentine Day
Looking for a romantic place for dinner for two? Take a stroll along the riverfront, down the alleyways and through the shadows of church spires and you will understand how Prague is a city without equal in Europe. It is arrestingly beautiful and begging to be explored. Bisected by the Vltava and the medieval splendor of the Charles bridge, with the Castle on one side and the labyrinthine streets on the other, there is seemingly no end to the sights, sounds and smells to enjoy. There is something for everyone in Prague - make sure you don't miss out. Being on a river cruise sailing through the most beautiful places in Prague is an experience never to be forgotten. Lit lanterns at night combined with live music can create a magical atmosphere and give your evening a completely different dimension. The decks of the luxurious boats provide environment that creates a romantic feeling.

Embark on an unsurpassed and romantic journey in Schoenbrunna. Make tour of Schoenbrunn Palace, an exclusive dinner at Café-Restaurant Residenz as well as the grand finale – a concert of classical music with works by Mozart and Strauss at the Orangery. Vienna is Austria’s capital and also the country’s primary city. Theater, opera, fine arts, and classical music all have a long tradition in Vienna. Many famous museums, opera houses, palaces, religious sites, parks, and other historical landmarks claim residence in Vienna. After a typical Viennese meal you will be taken to the concert.

Treat your Valentine to a romantic cruise and enjoy a sumptuous dinner in Amsterdam. You will be welcomed on board in festive style with some bubbly and will then set sail, with characteristic Amsterdam as the background decor. Valentine Dinner Cruise is the most romantic culinary experience on the canals of Amsterdam. Experience the colorful light artwork, impressive decor,  illuminated canal houses and romantic bridges from the water in a luxury sightseeing boat. You will pass many brilliant light sculptures on our way.

This historic city located at the base of the beautiful Austrian Alps is also a cultural hub of Austria. Salzburg in Austria is a city literally brimming with history and culture, most famously for its great musical heritage and favourite son, Mozart. Everybody who visits Salzburg will encounter the Mozart connection. You can’t really get away from it. For this reason we propose that you experience one of 300 Mozart Concerts which are performed yearly up at the world famous fortress Hohensalzburg. From the Golden Hall, the most splendid room of the city, you have a wonderful and unique view of the historic “Old Town” area and surroundings of Salzburg. After the Mozart Concert you have the city of Salzburg at your fingertips. The evening will stay in your mind for a long time. This is an experience not to be missed. Salzburg and the surrounding area has much for a visitor to see and experience, year round and catering to many tastes and expectations. It’s a diverse city, with much more than a love of music under its hat.

Velentine´s Day

Have dinner on board the biggest and most luxurious sailing vessel of Lisbon. Have dinner on the boat with navigation or simply on the marina. Filled with meandering riverside views, atmospheric cobblestoned streets, and soaring cathedrals, Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, has much to offer to visitors. The city is spread across seven hills overlooking the Rio Tejo. Canary yellow trams trundle along tree-lined streets and sea breezes blow in from the waterfront, bringing in the scent of salt spray. Lisboans exchange gossip at the local cafes or scoff down creamy pastel de natas in the sunny plazas and as the sun sets, the old Moorish castle casts its protective shadow over Lisbon while the sounds of fado, the traditional Portuguese song, fill the streets with the sounds of melancholia.
