Valentine's Day Snack Mix

By Take A Bite Out Of Boca @shaywiz
I totally broke one of the cardinal food blogger rules. You always post holiday-themed food on a holiday!!! I missed Valentine's Day. I'm so sorry I didn't bring you any pink, heart-shaped, chocolate desserts on Friday. Hopefully you had your share of sweet treats. Maybe someone made you breakfast in bed (lucky!), sent you flowers at work, or cooked you a romantic dinner at home. However you celebrated, I hope it was full of love.

Valentine's Day Snack Mix Here's my Valentine's Day contribution. Better late than never, right? This Valentine's Day Snack Mix can easily be adapted to any holiday. I used pink, red and white M&Ms for Valentine's Day, but you can swap in other colored candies depending on whatever holiday it's for. Or just have fun and use any candy at all and make this snack mix whenever your sweet tooth is calling!

Valentine's Day Snack Mix
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup honey
1 tbsp vanilla extract
2 cups Cheerio's
1 cup Valentine's Day milk chocolate M&M's
1 cup mini marshmallows
In a small sauce pot, melt peanut butter and honey over medium heat. Stir until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the cheerios and M&M's.
Press into a square baking sheet and place in the freezer for at least 1 hour. This will make the peanut butter and honey mixture harden and not be so sticky.
Crumble up the pieces of cheerio mix into a bowl. Add in the marshmallows. Stir until the cheerio mix has broken up completely and is well combined with the marshmallows.
