Last year I had the girls over for Valentine’s Day for small bites, cocktails and cookie decorating, and the year before that, I styled this sweet table scape. But this year, since I was going to be busy working on a few projects for parties I’m styling in the next few months, and heading on vacation at the end of February, I choose to just create a Valentine’s day floral arrangement. I plan on pairing the arrangement, which is inspired by this post, with a few easy desserts you can share with your love, family, friends, child’s school or even your coworkers, along with a deliciously pretty cocktail too. I wanted the Valentine’s day florals and decor to be simple, while still being special, lovely and romantic.
I was inspired by this year’s color of the year, Rose Quartz, because it is such a beautiful color, and lends itself perfectly for this romantic holiday. The other inspiration came from binge watching Downton Abbey, and so I wanted to recreate the look of a vintage English garden, precisely the church bazaar episode, but in a slightly modern way. I’m still working on the final details but can’t wait to share the Valetine’s styling with you when it’s all done.
