Valentine Gift Boxes for Her

By Thedreamery

Valentine's Gift Boxes for HerValentine’s Day is mostly hyped up to be just for lovers, but I like to show everyone in my life I love them. Whether it’s baking my parents a cake, giving J a bottle of his favorite scotch, or sending my best friend a card and her favorite sugar cookies. Over the weekend I held a Valentine’s get-together with some favorite ladies, where we laughed over sweets, and decorated cookies. I thought it was the perfect opportunity to show them how much I loved them with simple yet sweet Valentine’s day gifts.Valentine's Gift Boxes for HerWho doesn’t love a box full of surprises. I bought kraft take out boxes, hand stamped them with a rose, and then wrote each gal’s name. You can fill your Valentine gift boxes with anything your favorite ladies would like. You can even customize the boxes, say for a fashionista with makeup, or chocolates, or even small but cute office supplies. I gave my ladies the option to choose their own nail color and these easy DIY keychains, and then had them fill the rest with candy and cookies they decorated. Now, what girl wouldn’t love to head home with a few sweet macarons to snack on and a brand new Essie nail polish. I’d say it’s everything a girl could want on Valentine’s day.

  • Kraft Take Out Boxes {found at Michael’s craft stores}
  • Shredded Tissue Paper {you can save money by running any wrinkled tissue paper you may have already through a shredder or cutting with a scissor into strips – don’t worry it doesn’t have to be perfect}
  • Stamp and Ink Pad, of choice
  • White Paint Marker
  • Fillers: Nail Polish, Bead Keychains, Candy, Chocolate, Macarons, Cookies, etc.
  • Small Cellophane Bags for food {found at Michael’s craft stores}

Stamp your image on one of the flat sides of the container. Allow ink to dry completely. Write the person’s name using the paint marker over the image. You may need to use 2 to 3 coats for the writing to be bright white. I choose to continue the same style handwriting I had throughout the decor. Allow to dry completely. {you can see the boxes with written names here}

You don’t have to personalize each container, but I find that custom gifts make anyone feel even more special, especially knowing that you took the extra time to do something simple, like write out their name.

Fill the bottoms of each take out box with a bit of shredded paper, keep in mind what will be going inside so don’t put too much in. Then fill with your goodies. I recommend putting any food, like cookies or candy in small cellophane bags, so they won’t crumble and also prevent them from moving inside the container.
