I was a bit hesitant when this came popping on through my mailbox. At first glance, I thought 'hmm aqua packaging, this is definitely a coloured mascara' and we all know that's not my thang. I was happily surprised to see that it was black and 'ULTRA WATERPROOF'.Normally waterproof mascara's don't pack the same punch on my eyelashes as regular ones so I didn't have high expectations in terms of volume and lengthening.
I used this before a day of shopping with my friends and I was pretty happy with how well it performed in terms of volumizing etc. I like thick long lashes (like most girls!) and two coats of this had me pretty impressed.
In terms of how waterproof this is, I decided to put it to the test:
- Day of shopping - ☑
- Cry Laughing - ☑
- Spraying Finishing Mist - ☑
- Hormonal PMT sweating (lovely ha!) - ☑

- Light shower - ☑
- Eyebrow Threading (holding down the lid would normally give me panda eyes) - ☑

- Watching 'The Notebook' (cry fest!) - ☑
- Micellar Water - ☑
- Submerging my head in water - X
- Oil based makeup remover - X
So the only thing that took off the mascara was an oil based makeup remover. I normally use coconut oil to remove my eye makeup but even that didn't take off everything. I submerged my head in water as part of the test and I noticed a teeny tiny bit of transfer just below my bottom lashes.
This is officially my favorite mascara. I mean, the Too Faced better than sex mascara is the best at volumizing, but the Urban Decay Cannonball Ultra waterproof Mascara knocks bells off of the too faced waterproof version.
