As soon as I stepped inside this warm and spacious shop, I couldn’t wait to share it. I have no idea what took me so long.
Originally occupying what some of you may remember as the old dog groomer’s building just down from the theater, owner Missy decided to expand. Luckily, it was an easy move. Just a half block away she set up shop in what used to be the resale shop, Irene’s.
With lots of room, there’s ample space for the clothing, shoes, accessories, jewelry, and even home decor!
Girls, and their mamas, will love the stock here! Tutus in every color of the rainbow take up a whole section of their own. Cute decor for little girls, including hand-painted tables and chairs done by the owner’s mother, make every room feel special.
Now, as some of you know, we have two boys. Finding boys clothing is just about impossible. But Unique Finds even carries boy stuff! No, it doesn’t occupy the same space as the girls, but there’s enough to satisfy.
We snagged two adorable formal outfits for the boys at a fraction of what I would have paid if I had traveled out of Jasper County or, as Rensselaer folks say, “up north.” Yes, the mall or those surrounding big box shops would not have let me out of there for such a steal! I know that for a fact!

But this place isn’t only for the kids!A good half of the shop is made for adult women! Stylish women will find the clothing here unbeatable. Ruffles and fringe or off the shoulder–there’s a good range of sizes so please do take a look.
No matter how great the outfit, it still needs accessorizing! Unique Finds has that covered, too. Earrings, bracelets, necklaces, rings–even purses, scarves, and handbags are available in great quantities.
Those hand-painted chairs and tables don’t only apply for little girls. Grown-up girls will love adding a bit of shabby chic style to their rooms! Why, even a local artist has some wonderful art to line those walls. The owl items are particularly sweet.
