By faith we receive the promises of God. We receive financial prosperity by faith .We receive divine health and supernatural healing by faith. We receive our spouses, our children, and our home also by faith. And all our earthly needs and desires by faith. Our faith is an opening through which God can save us, deliver us, baptize us in His Spirit, and anoint us for ministry.
Understanding faith brings us to the place of rest in our lives. It helps us to live out the full number of our days here on earth. We walk in the fullness of the financial blessing that God has laid up for us. Also we walk in the fullness of the ministry gifts, which God wants to pour out on us for the benefit of the world around us. A world that’s full of the lost, sick, lonely and needy people.
PRINCIPLES OF FAITH
- Faith gives God an opening.
- Faith is kept alive and working by the word.
- Faith doesn’t sit around.
- Faith works by love.
FAITH GIVES GOD AN OPENING – ROMANS 5:1-2.
- Verse- 2 tells us that we have “access”- by faith; to the grace of God through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. It is our faith that allows us access to God’s grace.
- Read verse- 2 from the Amplified; Paul is telling us that faith gives us access to God’s favor. Our faith gives God an opening through which He can pour all His favor into our lives.
- Faith is Heaven’s window into our lives.
FAITH IS KEPT ALIVE AND WORKING BY THE WORD.-PROVERBS 4:20-22, ROMANS- 10:17, JAMES 1:25a
The moment we received Jesus as our Lord we gave God an opening into our lives. Our faith gave Him entrance to come in and save us. We gained access to the favor of God to be born again, but that was just the beginning.
There is still much more of God’s favor for us to receive and experience everyday of our lives. Faith requires that we continually receive the word of God to lay hold of all God’s goodness. Faith is kept alive and working by taking God’s word into your heart.
FAITH DOES NOT SIT AROUND- ROMANS 10:6-8, MARK 11:23-24.
How does faith make a draw from God’s word? –By taking action.
How does faith take action? –By speaking the word and then acting as though it is done.
The provision for all that God has provided for us- health, healing, salvation, protection, prosperity- has already been established in heaven. It is like having money in the bank, but to spend it you have to make a withdrawal. Receiving that provision is up to us. That’s where our mouth and action come into play.
Our mouths are the implements of faith that speak the words out of our heart to enable us to reap the harvest we desire .We reap that harvest by believing and thereby speaking the promise of God into fulfillment.
We must take action by speaking as God spoke and give substance to His promises. As we do, we give substance to something we can drive, something we can consume, something we can wear, something that can heal our bodies; we give substance to our dreams. We create our world.
FAITH WORKS BY LOVE – (FAITH FORGIVES) – I CORINTHIANS 13:1-3, MARK 11:24-25, GALATIANS 5:6.
God wants us to walk in love because love never fails. He wants the best for us and since the best is found in love. You and I must walk in love in order to receive God’s best. That’s why Jesus instructed His disciples to forgive when they prayed.
When you and I stand before God in prayer, in a position of faith we must forgive anyone who has wronged us if we want answers to our prayers. Otherwise we slam the door shut on the favor of God. (Read-JAMES 3:16).
