To commemorate its one-year anniversary, Cinelogue is running lists by its contributors for selections of underrated and underappreciated films. The criterion was simple, fewer than 4,000 user votes on IMDb (which opens a flood of possibilities), and I went for films I think are masterpieces over trying to find the most obscure picks. I've reviewed a number of the films I selected, Eros + Massacre, is also up at Cinelogue.
So head on over and see my selections for great and underrated films, and read my piece on Yoshishige Yoshida's masterpiece of the Japanese New Wave.
