Ubiquitous Computing & The Disciplines of User Experience Design

The Venn diagram above was created by Dan Saffer and Thomas Gläser, and shows how the various fields of design overlap with UX, or user experience design. This visual is of interest to us because it includes ubiquitous computing, which is a term used to describe technology like MindMeldthat adapts to people rather than vice versa. It’s interesting to note that ubiquitous computing is placed within the field of user experience design, while interaction design, industrial design, and architecture overlap to form its definition.
