Two Favorite Salad Recipes #Cbias

By Smilinglikesunshine @smilinglikesuns
This weekend we had some  visitors  so  I had to get something ready quickly.
I realised a few ingredients were missing and  I had to go to the town to Sainsbury's before  our friends arrived.
I like  shopping at Sainsbury's as I know that they always match their prices with their competitors and offer you the difference if they find out they are more expensive at certain brands.

I decided to prepare my favorite grilled halloumi salad and roasted parsnip salad with puy lentils.

Grilled Halloumi Salad

Grilled Halloumi Salad is one of my favorite salads. Quickly grill some halloumi cheese. While they are getting done, I prepare some rocket and baby salad leaves on plates. Add some sugar snap beans, croutons, pour some salad sauce and top with grilled cheese. Voila!

Roasted Parsnip Salad with Puy Lentils

My version of  Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's roasted parsnip salad with puy lentils. I think the sauce is what makes this recipe so delicious. A beautiful combination of mustard, honey and garlic.
For the kids, I quickly prepared some Israeli Couscous with puy lentils. Everyone was satisfied and we rounded up with some hot chocolate while the kids enjoyed their rice puddings.
