Inspired by Facebook, Twitter now allows users to tag up to 10 people in a phone they upload to the micro blogging service. Just like on Facebook, after you upload a photo you can select “Who’s in this photo?” and type in names of your friends to tag them in a tweet. And don’t worry this doesn’t affect the character limit.
“Tagging people in a picture makes conversations around photos fun and easy,” Twitter wrote on a blog post. “Tagging doesn’t affect character count in the Tweet — you can tag up to 10 people in a photo and still have all 140 characters at your disposal.”
In addition to this new feature, Twitter also introduced tweeting photo albums (sort of). Now you can add up to 4 photos into one tweet. Both photo-tagging and Tweets with multiple photos will display in Embedded Tweets.

These new features are now available with the latest iOS and Android apps. Twitter promises to roll out these features soon to Twitter.com.
