Twitter Now Indexes All Your Public Tweets and Anyone Can Find Them

Posted on the 19 November 2014 by Nrjperera @nrjperera

“Our search engine excelled at surfacing breaking news and events in real time, and our search index infrastructure reflected this strong emphasis on recency. But our long-standing goal has been to let people search through every Tweet ever published,” wrote Yi Zhuang, Search Infrastructure Engineer at Twitter.

Now you will be able to find any tweet in the public search with a few search queries, even your own personal updates without having to go download your Twitter archive. This is great improvement for Twitter and a massive blow to third-party services like TimeHop.
