There’s something irresistible about a track that doesn’t waste time. Twin Wave’s “Into The Night” quickly sweeps you up with a finely crafted beat — a merry percussion paired with the kind of guitar medley that, when played right, immediately catches your interest. The latest release (the first in a year) from this Brooklyn based outfit, “Into The Night” differs from their self-titled EP. The dizzying psychedelic elements floating through Twin Wave’s previous songs don’t seem to be present here — it’s a little less Quilt and lot more Kooks. It’s a style that bodes well for Sarik Kumar’s vocals, which are seductive here, with just the right amount of edge to them.
