turn any can’t into a can!

There are so many ways to help though. What about helping disadvantaged women who want to do better but can’t? They want a chance but don’t have the means to do so. And we all know that as strong women, we can do anything we put in our minds. So COVERGIRL launched their #GirlsCan campaign to encourage women of all walks to follow their dreams and turn any can’t into a can! It’s all about being empowered and feeling COVERGIRL beautiful.

If you watch Orange is the New Black, you will recall in Season 2 that Tastee won a contest for disadvantaged women where she was guaranteed a job once she left the prison.

my #GirlsCan moment

For many years I thought I could not speak to large groups of people. I’d get so panicky that I literally couldn’t breathe. My palms would get sweaty and I’d stutter. But once I launched Girl Rates World blog, I really wanted to expand my audience. After doing some research I realized many bloggers were also doing youtube videos and podcasts to get more exposure and reach. Yikes! How could I do that when I can’t speak to large groups of people? I was terrified of public speaking. Well, I had to overcome it if I wanted to be successful. And now as I write this post I can say that I have done dozens of youtube videos and beauty podcasts. I’m not completely cured but I’m doing things I never imagined I could do.
