Kids these days try out all sorts of tricks to get more likes and comments on their Instagram photos. As it turns out, you just need to do one simple thing to get more likes for your photos – make them blue. According to a recent study conducted by visual analytics platform Curalate, photos with more blue color tend to get more likes than other colors.
This has been found after comparing 30 features across more than 8 million photos in the photo-sharing network. The study has found that photos with blue as main color have a chance of getting 24% more likes than photos with Red color. Also, it points out that low saturation photos get 18% more likes than high saturation photos.

I’m not sure how much of science goes into Instagram photos or likes, but you can start taking photos with more blue colors and maybe turn all your photos blue with some filters to try and get more likes. However, The Next Web points out that these statistics are mainly focused on helping out businesses to get more likes. Especially when running ad campaigns on Instagram.
