Tuesday Tip: Shop for platform heels online! What I love about shopping for platform heels online is that you can see the “effective heel” minus the platform. That’s how I recently discovered my favorite pair of go-to heels, these Vera Wang Lavender “Diedra” pumps. They provide a towering 4 inches of height, but with a 1 1/4 inch platform, it’s an EFFECTIVE heel height (to my feet, anyway) of just 2 3/4 inches. Practically running shoes. I can wear these heels ALL DAY long, and I am so tall and stretched out. I love love love them.
And now that Nordstrom offers free shipping both ways, a girl’s got options. I love Zappos, Piperlime, and Nordies. I actually preshopped these shoes online, and went into a Norstrom to find them. It was interesting that I would never have realized how comfortable they are – or WHY they would remain so comfortable outside the store, if I had not seen them first online. Shop on!
