Wow, just look at these photos. This amazing old shoe store has recently been discovered after being locked up for over 50 years. A family in the US inherited an old building from their grandparents and were surprised to find it was a perfectly preserved shoe shop, which had remained untouched since the 1960s. The store had been selling shoes in ‘the First Class Shoe Store’ to the community since the 1940s and many of the shoes found in this hoard were from that era, along with a stock of 50s and 60s styles, many of which were boxed and in mint condition. Other dusty were still pristine and unworn beneath layers of dust. Just imagine what these genuine brand new vintage shoes must be worth?! I particularly love these cream pumps with tan leather trim and while looking through the photos I spotted a pair of original Converse shoes, alongside a lot of classic US shoes brands which have long since ceased trading. This collection of loafers, boots, shoes and pumps could easily sell for a small fortune, or will be it be donated to a museum? The family are still keeping the location of the abandoned store under wraps at the moment for security reasons but I’m sure we’ll hear more about this story in the future, so keep your eyes peeled for updates!
