Tuesday Shoesday ~ New Neon for Summer 2014

By Cassiefairy @Cassiefairy

This Tuesday Shoesday I’m going to be investigating the cheapest way to follow the neon shoes trend this summer. It all started when mom sent me a photo of this article in the newspaper she was reading featuring neon shoes on Iggy Azalea and Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst. The shoes are so striking and really dress up these black outfits so I wanted to investigate ways of getting the look for less on the high street and have come up with these hot neon beauties.neon shoes

First up are a couple of neon pairs from New Look: I love these chunky pink sandals - despite the height of the heels they look like they would be really comfortable because of the platform sole and the neon pink is softened by the suede so it’s an easy way to get into the trend without going OTT. Another cute way to wear neon is with these green flip-flop sandals: the fine straps keep the neon flash to a minimum while being a simple way to include the trend in your summer wardrobe. These cheap Neon Jelly flats from Mr-Shoes are a comfortable option for summer footwear and these sandals are available in TEN colours so there’s sure to be at least one pair you’ll want to invest in and at only £8.99 it’s a bargain way to wear two Summer trends in one! My favourites are this pair of woven pumps from ASOS because they are a subtle way to wear neon, with just a flash of bright coral running through the tan leather, plus they look really comfortable and would look great with dresses and jeans alike.
