Over the past couple of weeks I’ve had a few photos of shoes sent to me which have a common theme – natural materials. It started with these heels made from coral. I can’t help but think that ‘real’ coral might be a little too delicate for a full day of wear – and I imagine they would come with a weight limit for fear of the holey-heels snapping.
Another natural shoe I’ve been sent is this bark-and-wood wedge. A slightly more sensible shoe, but certainly not the kind of thing I’d like to slip my feet into – I can still remember the trend for wooden clogs back in the 90s, and I’m not going to be restricting my foot movement and stomping clumpily around like that again! Plus, I think this shoe looks kind of like a horse’s hoof and is that really a good look?
