The latest trend in footwear is something that your grandma might be more comfortable wearing than you would be, but according to fashionistas stocky heels are überchic. Here’s super-cutie Zooey Dechanel in her granny-courts:
Despite their tendency to make even the slimmest ankle look thicker, these heels are comfortable and wearable – the kind of multi-purpose shoe that you can wear all day and still look stylish on a night out. Or so they say.
Here’s my pick of the chunky-bunch from Zara, Urban Outfitters, ASOS & Kurt Geiger(actually, I’m just hoping that the loud colours and garish prints will draw attention away from the stumpy heels).
Hmm, I’m not 100% convinced that I’ll be wearing this trend anytime soon, but maybe the little extra height (yes, I need it, I know) coupled with a comfy low-heel will win be over. It’s definitely worth a trip up the high street to try some on anyway
