The chart above shows the average job approval for Donald Trump in May, and compares it with his approval in April. His average monthly job approval dropped 4 points -- from 45% in April to 41% in May. And the drop in approval was apparent across all the demographic groups.
This Gallup Poll was done between May 15th and 30th of a national sample of 1,017 adults, and has a margin of error of 4 points. His monthly job approval for this year has bounced between 37% and 46%, but has never seriously approached 50%.
