True Blood’s Version of a Christmas Special

True Blood’s Version of a Christmas SpecialGianna Sobol from the Inside True Blood Blog wanted to put together a True Blood Christmas episode and asked writer Mark Hudis what things might look like in Bon Temps during the most wonderful time of the year, and here’s what he had to say…

Are you ready for it? Because I’ve read it…and I’m STILL not sure if I would care to read it. It’s really not as great as you might think, but the good news is that it does feature Eric. The bad news…well, you’ll have to read it and see for yourself.

True Blood’s Version of a Christmas Special
Wow…so much to say about this one.

  1. Eric’s birthday is NOT on December 25th! If anybody remembers in Season 3, Eric referred to himself as; “I’m a Virgo, I like to be neat”!
  2. No matter what song plays on the radio, Eric would NEVER cry, just because he is lonely.
  3. Since when have Eric and Andy ever had any scenes together? And why would Eric (of all people) hug him because he’s glad to see him? Talk about OOC…
  4. If this was meant as a joke, I honestly don’t get it. Someone please explain it to me, if they do!
  5. Why did they mention Queen Bill making some lame-assed joke – but no mention of Sookie or Pam, who are the two closest people to Eric?
  6. If a writer of the show, gets his or her facts wrong for something like this…it finally makes sense, how they are able to continually screw up continuity, character traits and storylines. It’s still unforgivable…but understandable, how it can and does happen on the show. YIKES.

The above, pretty much sums up my thoughts.
