Tricolor Fruit Parfait

Republic day is just around the corner so here is a healthy tricolor dessert recipe to celebrate the occasion! Today’s Tricolor Fruit parfait is a dessert in which layers of fruit and yogurt are assembled in tall glasses or tumblers. Here fresh kiwi fruit is uses as the green layer , fresh orange make up for the saffron layer and the middle white layer is made using hung curd and oats. You can’t find a tricolor recipe easier than this!

Tricolor Fruit Parfait

Ingredients :

  • 2 fresh kiwi fruit
  • 2 fresh oranges
  • 1/2 cup hung curd
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2-3 tablespoon instant oats

Ingredients for Tricolor fruit parfait

Method:

1. To make hung curd at home pour curd in a muslin cloth lined strainer.Gather the edges of the muslin cloth and tie it . Hang the cloth for 45 minutes. The whey will drip , so keep a container below to collect it. Hung curd is the thick curd which is in the muslin cloth.

2.Wash the kiwi fruits. Pat dry . Peel it and chop into bite size pieces.

3.Peel oranges , deseed and remove the membrane . Make bite size chunks.

4.Take hung curd in a bowl and add honey to it. Beat it with a spoon to blend .

5. Add oats to it and mix well. Our white layer is ready.

6. Now begin to assemble the parfait.

7. Take a tumbler. Add half of the kiwi pieces to it and press well with the help of back of spoon.

8. Now take 2 tablespoons of hung curd oats mixture and layer above the kiwi . Press it with the back of spoon.

9. Lastly arrange the orange pieces over the hung curd layer.

10. Make the second parfait similarly. The tri-color parfait is ready to serve. If not serving immediately refrigerate it until serving time.

The parfait has fresh and juicy fruits like kiwi and oranges ,so should be consumed within 2 hours of making.
