#TravelTuesday - I Have A Thing For Boutique Hotels

By Tanvi Rastogi @tanviidotcom

Draycott Hotel is located in the heart of Chelsea, is two minutes away from the Sloan Square and five minutes from Kings Road and no more than ten minutes from Knightsbridge. This is a boutique property hidden gem filled with English charm and elegance. Although the checkin time is 3:00pm and I arrived early (9:00am) the hotel staff were extremely kind and accommodating. I had to wait for a few minutes but they were able to check me in early.

Draycott is decorated in a classic traditional style and has a peaceful and relaxing. You can find books all around the hotel as part of their decor, which for a ferocious reader like myself was like being in a wonderland.

All the rooms have a name instead of a number. I was in the room "KEAN" which I believe was a deluxe room. It had a king size bed, dining area, work desk, and the highlight of was an open fire place. The room is perfect for a couple. I sure had a peaceful and relaxing sleep.

The hotel serves complimentary English Afternoon Tea & cookies every evening at 4pm, a glass of champagne at 6pm and hot chocolate & biscuits at 9pm, which is unheard of at least in Central London.

One of the highlights of my stay at The Draycott was their charming breakfast room. While you have the option to have the breakfast in room, I always prefer to get ready and have it in the dining area. The continental breakfast was great with a nice selection of fruits, croissants, toast, cold meats, cheese and pastries.

If you appreciate good service, charming decor and unique properties which are central yet hidden away from the tourist sites this is the place for you. I cannot wait to come back and enjoy the property again, this time with my husband!

An elegant luxury yet very relaxing establishment supported by a team of dedicated, enthusiastic staff.
