A couple of years ago I started Project Tourist, which desperately needs updating at some point. My plan for 2013 is to visit at least four new countries and as we are reaching the halfway point in the year (seriously though, how has that happened?) I thought it was time to take stock.
I started the year off strong with a trip to Luxembourg, which was fabulous. You can read about it here and here. That is Country number one.
Recently I visited Switzerland and had a lovely time in Basel, which I’ll be posting about soon. Which is Country number two.
And this weekend I am heading to the Czech Republic (I’m really rather excited) to spend some time in Prague. That will be Country number three.
Maths isn’t my strong point, but I think that will put me slightly ahead of schedule (happy dance).
After Prague though, I need to start exploring countries a little further away otherwise, I’m not going to have anywhere that is both close and new to visit, which will make hitting my target next year, much more difficult (and expensive).
While I was researching Prague, I came across The Boat Hotel Matylda, which unfortunately didn’t have any rooms available, but I really hope I will be able to stay there one day.. it is a boat and a hotel – it’s a BOTEL Seriously, how brilliant is that?!
