What’s good about Bangkok is that their tourist attractions are so near to each other that you can almost walk from one temple to another or ride cheap taxi. And I prepared a map where some of its tourist attractions are marked for you to imagine its distance from and to each other.

Must visit temples.
Grand Palace. One of the must – see sights in Bangkok is the Grand Palace. It is a complex of buildings at the heart of Bangkok. The palace has been the official residence of the Kings of Thailand since 1782, however that present monarch, King Rama IX currently resides at Chitralada Palace, but it is still used for official events. Rather than being a single structure, the Grand Palace is made up of numerous buildings, halls, pavilion set around open lawns, gardens and courtyards. I thought that this Grand Palace alone will meet your expectations, overly! Entrance fee to this beautiful palace as of my last visit (June 2013) is 700 Baht. For dress code, no sleeveless, no shorts. Otherwise rent pants in a souvenir shops outside the complex for 30 Baht.
Wat Po. Is directly adjacent the Grand Palace, along side of the river, for about 20 minutes walk you can reach Wat Po. It is a Buddhist temple in Phra Nakhon District. It is known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. One of the prominent features of the temple is its stupa decorated in colorful florals. The temple is alson known as the birthplace of traditional Thai massage. Entrance fee is 100 Baht.
Wat Arun. After your Wat Po visit, walk directly towards the river, there you'll find a ferry terminal, you'll pay for 3 Baht for one way in order to cross the river and bring you to Wat Arun.
Wat Arun is known as the Temple of Dawn, located at the Thonburi west bank of the Chao Phraya River. The temple derives its name from the Hindu god of dawn, Aruna. This is the one of the most striking riverside landmarks of Thailand and the first light of the morning reflects off the surface of the temple with pearly iridescence. One can climb the steep stairs of the temple to see from above the view of its surroundings. Entrance fee is 50 Baht.
Wat Kalaya. Is a 30 minutes walk from Wat Arun, you can ride a taxi or tuktuk if you want to reach this second - class monastery. What's interesting in this temple is its gigantic golden Buddha (Luang Por Tor). On the walls of the temple are mural paintings which depict the story of Lord Buddha, as well as lifestyle of the villagers during the period of King Rama III. You can also found here the largest bell in Thailand.
Wat Traimit. The home of the Giant Golden Buddha statue. Inside the temple is a museum. Entrance fee here is 40 Baht.
Wat Benchamabophit. is another Buddhist temple but it is located in the Dusit district of Bangkok. A quite distant from the Grand Palace area, perhaps you can ride a taxi from Wat Traimit. Also known as the marble temple, it is one of Bangkok's most beautiful temples and a major tourist attraction. It typifies Bangkok's ornate style of high gables, stepped-out roofs and elaborate finials. No entrance fee here. Hooray!
Madame Tussauds.Tired of temples? Then visit this wax museum with over 90 wax figures located at Siam Discovery, 6th Floor.It is open daily from 10:00 - 21:00. Ticket is 800 Baht, but when you buy it online and advance you'll get it 20 - 50% discount.

How to get here:
By BTS SkyTrain. Madame Tussauds is a five minutes walk from BTS Siam station. BTS Siam station is right in the middle of the city and easy journey from anywhere in Bangkok.
By MRT. MRT Silom or Sukhumvit or Chatuchak Park station transfer to BTS Sky train; BTS Siam station (See By BTS)
By Bus. The following bus numbers travel to Madame Tussauds: 15, 16, 25 (Paknam-Thachang),40, ปอ.40, 48, 54, 73, 73ก, 79, 141, 159, 162, 183, 204, 501, 508.
By Taxi. Just tell the driver this address: Siam Discovery, 6th Floor, 989 Rama 1 Road, Pathumwan.
Baiyoke Sky Hotel. With 88 floors, it is considered as the highest building in Thailand. You can try at night its revolving deck and see the Bangkok 360 degree.
Chao Phraya River Tour/ Canal Tour. Cruise for an hour to the historical canal and see its famous landmarks such as Wat Arun and Royal Barge National Museum.
Patpong Night Market. A must night shopping destination in Bangkok where you can buy your souvenirs for cheap prices. It is internationally known as a red - light district at the heart of Bangkok's sex industry. While walking here, many will ask you if you like to see/watch 'ping-pong show'. What's ping-pong show? Well, it is for you to find out.
