Let’s talk about closets. Bedroom closets to be more specific. It’s always full of stuff, yet I have “nothing” to wear? We waste valuable time in the a.m. searching for that one top, bag, or pair of heels and waste even more time trying to find something to pair with it. I’m not the only one who experiences this, right?

It’s time to take charge and spend some time reorganizing the closet to make it a more functional space – or just down-right make life simpler in the morning!

Every bedroom closet is different – from celebrity-sized walk-ins to the standard two door slider. Here are a few tips and inspiration for an organized bedroom closet.  Toss: *Gasp* De-clutter your closet by tossing clothes, bags, and shoes you haven’t worn or used in the last few years. Ditch the “I might wear/use this again someday” thoughts… you won’t!   Group: Group tops, pants, and dresses in their own space. Gather bags, shoes, and accessories and store them with their respective group. Go the extra mile and organize each item in the groups by color. Grouping and color-coding items will help you identify the item you want faster and brings an aesthetically pleasing look to your space.

Assign: If you don’t have a very large closet, it’s important to create 3 levels of storage and organization.

1. Eye Level – Store and hang most used items.
2. Ground Level – Store less used items below.
3. Overhead Level – Store the least used items up high (perfect for off-season clothing, shoes, and accessories.
