Following decades of absense, Manchester icons The Stone Roses recently returned with much-anticipated new material in the form of the catchy yet basic 'All For One'. Following a day of rumor and speculation yesterday (June 9th) the band released another new track at midnight, this one a seven-minute helping of cool Northern funk. Rumoured to be taken from an upcoming new album and featuring lots of tasty guitar from the great John Squire, 'Beautiful Thing' is not unlike a hybrid of 'The Second Coming''s 'Breaking Into Heaven' and Ian Brown solo effort 'Can't See Me'. Those who weren't impressed by 'All For One' might now have a reason to welcome them back.
