Tour Takes A Day Off Before Stage 10 The rider in the Yellow Jersey is Christopher Froome from Great Britain. He seized more than a minute's lead in the high mountains in the last couple of days. On Monday (July 8th) the Tour had its first rest day. Tuesday will see a much flatter stage, and that should make it easy for Froome's teammates on Sky Procycling to protect his lead -- at least for now. It is likely he is not really challenged for that race lead until a return to the mountains. Because of the day off, the standings all stay the same. Here are the current standings:
