Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where you post the 'top ten' for each week.This week, the top ten is: books for people who liked (insert author.) I've decided that I'm going to do Sarah Dessen, because recently I gave a list of books to my friend who loved Sarah Dessen, so I mine as well do this!
1. The Summer series by Jenny Han
This is a little more dramatic and sad compared to most of Sarah Dessen's novels, but it's got a killer romance to it!
2. Going Too Far by Jennifer EcholsIf you like a little more edge to your romance, this is definitely for you!
3. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay AsherThis one is a go-to contemporary novel for any new reader!
4. Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah OcklerThis plot is amazing, and is very much like Sarah Dessen's novels! I'll be reading Bittersweet and Fixing Delilah soon, and I believe those will be much like Sarah Dessen's!
5. If I Stay by Gayle FormanIt seems that everyone has heard of this novel, and read it! Another great heart-wrenching contemporary.
6. The Unwritten Rule by Elizabeth Scott
Elizabeth Scott has a couple romance novels that are really cute, but they don't seem to have as much substance as Dessen's.
7. Megan Meade's Guide to McGowan Boys by Kate Brian
A lighter novel compared to the other recommendations, but it's funny, cute, and sweet!
8. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
Prepare to cry. That's all I have to say.
9. The ABC's Of Kissing Boys by Tina Ferraro
Not many people have heard of this, but it's super cute!
10. Playing Hurt by Holly Schindler
Put Sarah Dessen's name on the cover and it could totally pass for one of her own!
