Budapest is worth all your footsteps. still there are some hotspots (Top helyek) in the city not to be missed. One of them is Buda hilltop with its view on Pest. Here you can see the imposant Szent István Bazilika across the Danube. The right hand of Saint Stephen I of Hungary, the first King of Hungary is housed here.
There is no literature without a Café, some Hungarian writer said. Visit the New York Café even if you are not a writer, for its coffee, live music, ancient atmosphere and pastries.
Reach Buda castle hill by funicular. It’s history is longer than its (very short) track
Have a stroll in the area of Szent István Bazilika. If not for the Church, just for the night life, bars and restaurants with live piano.
After a bath at Gellért therme, go back to the city center by crossing the Danube on Freedom Bridge. Best greens at sunset.Have a seat at Danube shores before the day ends.
