Top 5 Perth Eats & News – March

By Foodie Cravings @foodiecravings

In March, I couldn’t get enough of avocado or pork which are totally opposite to my sweet cravings featured in February’s Top 5 Perth Eats.

Top 5 Perth Eats

#1 Palsaik Namoo Korean BBQ Pork Belly rainbow - oh my, 8 heavenly courses of marinated pork belly between two. Need I say more? For $60 besides pork belly 8 ways, we had a massive pot of soup with seafood and vegetables and a bunch of side dishes (kimchi, bean sprouts and pickled radish). If you can get a table downstairs, I’d recommend it as we were sitting on the third floor and hot air rises!

Note: Namoo don’t take bookings and entry is via Barrack Street.

#2 Chik & Kent’s bacon, avocado and cream cheese ciabatta $14 – my recent craving for avocado was completely satisfied at Chik and Kent. The bacon was crispy, there was a generous amount of avocado and it was a decent price given their Perth CBD location. Read my full Chik and Kent blog post here.

#3 The Belasyse Reuben Sandwich $20 – I love a good reuben sandwich and these guys do it well. My reuben was filled with plenty of corned beef, perfect amount of mustard, sauerkraut and swiss cheese. It was a generous serving so I only made it through half my sandwich but I did clear most of my hand cut chips.

#4 The Flying Taco’s pork & pineapple quesadilla – when we’re getting take-away it always seem to be the usual suspects but last month we went for something different. Just by chance, I stumbled across The Flying Taco on the way home and was happy to find that they were open for Sunday lunches, have EFTPOS facilities and do take-away! I haven’t been to The Flying Taco in years (Here’s%20my%20Flying%20Taco%20blog%20post%C2%A0from%20my%20last%20visit)%20and%20I%20am%20happy%20to%20say%20their%20pork%20and%20pineapple%20quesadilla%20was%20as%20good%20as%20I%20remembered.

#5 Sushia Izakaya’s beef and mushroom skewer – being pregnant with junior burger, I was spoilt with my own special entrée at Eat Drink Perth’s long table first feast at Brookfield Place. Whilst everyone enjoyed their Hamachi Carpaccio Kingfish Sashimi, I had this flavoursome beef and mushroom skewer. I’m heading to Sushia for a girls night next month, I can’t wait to try the full dinner menu!
