Gerard Butler has 51 credits to his name according to the IMDB, from the moment he debuted in 1997 he has gone onto being one of the go to guys for action films. He has played roles in a range of different genres with some success but also some failures. I have looked at my favorite roles of his but have decided to leave out the animation films.

Creedy is the loyal friend of our hero and holds himself up in the supporting role opposite Matthew McConaughey and Christian Bale. The survivors in England battle against dragons who have taken over the world.
3. Kable – Gamer (2009)
Kable is prisoner who is sent into battle in a reality death game where he gets controlled by a player. This role gets to show his nonsense fighting ability.

1. Clyde Shelton – Law Abiding Citizen (2009)
This is easily my favorite role and is actually one of my favorite films, Clyde starts out as quiet family man but when he sees the corruption in the law system after his family is murdered he decides to take revenge on everyone involved. I like how this role and film leaves you to question who the good and bad guys are and Gerard shines opposite Jamie Foxx.
