Pharmacy products are one of the most unspoken products when it comes to skin or hair care. But then, honestly speaking, coming from a family full of doctors, I have grown up seeing so many amazing pharmacy products that undoubtedly deserve the hype. Thus, in today’s blog, I am gonna share my top 10 pharmacy products that you must give a try. The products range from skin to hair care and have been on my favorite list for ages. Not only they are super effective, but also quite affordable. The only downside is, that these pharmacy products might not be widely (or some of it might not be at all) found online, but for sure you get them at all major pharma stores.
(Some of the images you see of the pharmacy hair care products here are physician sample size – perks of being raised in a house full of doctors, lol, nevertheless, you do get full size of all of these in pharma stores)
So here you go:
This is my top favorite pharmacy product! This one works wonders for dandruff – and the best part, unlike even many other pharmacy anti-dandruff shampoos, this one doesn’t make your hair super dry. Of course, I follow it off with a conditioner (which is my regular one) – nevertheless, unlike many other pharma as well as no-pharma anti-dandruff shampoos, it leaves hair quite manageable and non-frizzy. I am honestly not super dandruff prone, but my mom is, and I have heard her also saying 5-6 times usage of this shampoo literally noticeably reduced the dandruff as well the itchiness that comes hand in hand with dandruff.
This one is my recent purchase, and I am blown off by the results. It is so dammmm hydrating!! I have a normal to combination cream and this has become my holy grail facial moisturizer. My skin literally drinks it. It has propylene glycol which is amazing for dry skin, and I swear no less for a combination skin like mine. One of the best facial products from a pharmacy which is quite affordable in quantity and quality as well.
Urea cream is a product that can soften dry, rough, or thick skin and hence it is most suitable for the heels. A pea-size quantity of the product goes a long way and it super effective and extremely budget-friendly product if you are the one suffering from cracked heels. I use it twice a day during winter - after a shower when my skin is moist and before going to bed. This one has a very mild yet nice fragrance, which is my personal favourite!
Mycoderm Lavender Antiseptic Powder
In summer, many of us do get fungal infections which cause a lot of irritation due to the added sweat as well as pollution. This pharmacy anti-fungal powder is surely a rescue for that kind of situation. It comes in a lavender fragrance, which makes it even better and I must say, this is one of the most effective anti-fungal powders that I have ever come across.
Dermadew Caloe Lotion
This one is a moisturising lotion used to relieve skin problems like redness, inflammation, chapped skin, itchiness, irritation, or dryness. It moisturises and nourishes the skin and makes it soft, supple, and silky. It even doesn’t make the skin greasy and is suitable for oily skin as well! It contains the goodness of aloe vera, liquid paraffin and calamine as active ingredients which helps maintain healthy skin. Again, this one has a nice fragrance, which I really like!
Calosoft AF Lotion
This one is a smoothening agent which helps to soften and protect skin. It contains Calamine, Aloe vera gel and Light Liquid paraffin as active ingredients which help to provide smoothening effects to the skin. I use this one for my face because it is super lightweight and gets absorbed really well into the skin, giving a light feel!
Calosoft Plus Lotion
This one, like the Calsoft AF, contains Calamine, Pramoxine hydrochloride, Menthol, Tetrahydrocurcumin, Aloe vera, Camphor, Light liquid paraffin, Zinc oxide, and Glycerine as active ingredients that keep the skin skin hydrated and moisturised. I honestly don’t feel much of a difference between this one and Calsoft AF and use both in the same way for facial skin as a part of the night-time skincare regime.
Cleargel AP Gel
I am not really a super acne-prone skin but the times that I get acne, I use this one and it has been quite effective in acting as a kind of spot treatment for acne which takes care of the acne and also at the same time doesn’t leave a bad mark after the acne says tata bye bye.
ACNELISSA ACNE CARE Face Wash
This was once suggested by my dermat when I was having a sudden yet excessive breakout and this one worked really well. What I like most about this is that it is soap-free – thus no foam at all, so you won't even feel like you used face wash, but your face is legit clean at the same time, no?
SUNBAN SOFT SPF50+ Cream
A broad spectrum and high SPF sunscreen from the pharmacy is this one. This doesn’t have a white cast and gives a silicone feeling. Now, if you are the one who doesn’t like silicon feel might not like this one, but I don’t have complaints regarding that, so I am loving this!
Now that you have almost a curated skincare list of the top 10 pharmacy products that you must try, why wait, go grab the one which you need right now! And of course, thank me later in the comment section below.
