When we were growing up, there were many faces that occupied our hearts and the others who had a massive sex appeal.

Afterall, hotness and excellence are two of the core elements of any entertainment or style industry. Making it to the silver screen is a dream come true for most, and most would test the extremes of their luck and wit to actually get there. So it is harder to believe when celebrities disappear out of the blue even after getting their break and making it to the big screen. These are our list of celebrities who were able to make it but suddenly disappeared, many of whom you've probably been missing for years.

Celina Jaitly: Celina was probably one of the hottest actors with a massive sex appeal during her time. The former beauty queen and model was a winner of Miss India and was the 4th runner-up at Miss Universe 2001. She marked her entry in Bollywood in the 2003 thriller 'Janasheen.' She later had roles in the films like 'Silsiilay', 'No Entry', 'Tom, Dick, and Harry' and 'Golmaal Return' She got married to a businessman Peter Haag and gave birth to two twins last, but one of them could not survive. However, Celina hasn't made any official statement on why she's staying out of the picture.

Dino Morea: Dino Morea was first observed when he was modelling for a fashion club and thereafter, received his first film offer. His made his debut through 'Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi' and then experienced a good match of hits and flops, both. In fact, he was one actor who picked up prevalence for being amazingly hot and beguiling. After his luck died out in Bollywood, Dino then attempted his fate in South Indian cinema, and it's history since then!

Gayatri Joshi: We remember her in 'Swades' starring Shah Rukh Khan but sadly, that was her only movie. Model turned actress Gayatri Joshi's career surely didn't last long. She's now busy with her husband and two kids, but sometimes makes time for Page 3 parties. After she got married to Vikas Oberoi - Chairman and Managing Director of Oberoi Realty Ltd, she said goodbye to Bollywood.

Jugal Hansraj: Jugal Hansraj was first seen as a child artist in the 1983 film 'Masoom'. The blue-eyed boy then appeared in many ad films and was spontaneously desired by many young ladies. His career pushed further with 'Aa Gale Lag Jaa' and then went on to star in films like 'Mohabbatein' and 'Salaam Namaste'. He was last seen in Madhuri Dixit's film 'Aaja Nachle' in 2007, and soon after Jugal left movies and television behind.

Kim Sharma: Kim Sharma's acting career ended about as quickly as it began; the actress hasn't appeared in a movie since 2009. She started her career with ad films and got her big break in SRK-Amitabh starrer, 'Mohabbatein'. She was also in news for having dated Indian cricket star Yuvraj Singh. After Kim's marriage to Kenyan tycoon Ali Punjani, she's been living in Kenya and has since then been out of the limelight.

Koena Mitra: Koena Mitra made her debut entry to Bollywood through 'Road'. She was quite known for her dusky features and sex appeal, and was also a part of commercially hit films like 'Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena' and 'Apna Sapna Money Money'. But after her nose job that turned out to be a disaster, Mitra wasn't offered any role. She then went to LA and studied film editing, but decided not to look back at a mistake that cost her her career.

Muzammil Ibrahim: Muzamil Ibrahim is an Indian Supermodel who won Gladrags Manhunt when he was 18 years old, becoming the youngest participant to have won the title in the history of its entire contest. He was seen in many videos and was quite a popular face in the 2000s. He made his Bollywood debut in the film with Dhokha, which won Muzammil critical plaudits and he was recognized as the discovery of the decade and a future star by critics and audience alike. He went on further to work in films like 'Horn Ok Pleassss and 'Will you marry me?'. But would you believe it? He hasn't done any acting since.

Preeti Jhangiani: Preeti's performance was first noticed in Rajshri Productions music album 'Yeh Hai Prem' but it was SRK-Amitabh starrer 'Mohabbatein' that gave her recognition. She managed to bag smaller roles in 'Awara Paagal Deewana', 'LOC Kargil' and 'Aan: Men at Work'. She stayed back in Bollywood for a few more years before marrying a fellow actor, Parvin Dabas and is currently settled in Mumbai.

Shefali Zariwala: Known as the "thong girl", Shefali Zariwala was first seen flashing her thong in the 2002 hit music video 'Kaanta Laga'. After that, she gave her appearances in films like 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' and the critically acclaimed 'A Wednesday'. She also participated in the reality show Nach Baliye 5 with her boyfriend. Her popularity just died out and it explains why the sensuous actress quickly went back into retirement from the Bollywood industry.

Sneha Ullal: You might remember her as the young Aishwarya look-alike who made her debut with 'Lucky - No Time For Love' starring Salman Khan. As of now, she mainly appears in Tollywood films. After a series of flops like 'Aryan' and 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron', Sneha said goodbye to Bollywood. Now quite a name in the south, Sneha hasn't looked back since.
