New Zealand alt-folk musician Tom Lee-Richards is an introspective mood on his new Spinning for Shape EP. He is not quite sure where he fits in, or what other people think of him. The urge to create music keeps him afloat as he spends his time between living in New Zealand and Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

The four tracks were recorded by producer Leonardo Marques who steered him and his musicians through the process in order to create a gently swinging backing for Lee-Richards soul-searching. Fabio Ogata's French horn is allowed to come up front in Human and Felipe D'Angelo comforting keyboards give the tracks an early '70s jazzy texture.
