Seven years ago today, BlackWomenStandUp.com launched Love Your Va-Jay-Jay Day. It was created to honor Co-Founder, Tiffany Braxton’s Mother, Coretha Braxton, who passed away on April 10th 2013 from an aggressive form of Uterine Cancer; and to remind women to #CheckUpOnIt to stay on top of their health, remain cancer free or for early detection in order to fight and win! We also focus on breast cancer awareness on this day as well. April is also National Minority Health Month.
We honor other Black Women and Women of Color who have lost their lives to any one of the five gynecological cancers and or breast cancer via our Memorial Wall; and we give space for others to do the same for a loved one with a picture and message of remembrance. We also have our Survivor’s Wall for those who have won the fight against one of the GYN cancers and or breast cancer.
Email: [email protected] to honor a loved one on either one of the walls. Please put Memorial Wall or Survivor’s Wall in the Subject Line.
Peace and Love. And don’t forget #YourHealthMatters & to Always #Stand4Health. Make sure to #CheckUpOnIt
