Yes, Shiny New Books today publishes issue 2a, or the inbetweeny. Although we are a quarterly magazine, there are books which one way or another have not quite made the deadline and so we add them to the relevant list. There are actually twenty-three new pieces for you to read, all helpfully marked as "New".
There so much that's good in there I hardly know where to begin. But given the recent announcement of the Booker longlist, you might like to see the editors' discussion of it in the BookBuzz section, and you can accompany or complement your reading of that with a review of one of the longlisted books, written by Simon, our reprints editor, who hardly ever reads new fiction!
