Hi loves!
I am not even going to bother you with the whole 'I've been ill with the cold from Hell' excuse as to why I have missed Blogmas for three days - but I have been ill, I'm slowly getting better now but this beast has made me ill for 12 days so far - MOVING ON!
One of the things I always struggle with beauty wise is my nails. I'm lucky enough to have a long nail bed which makes my nails look longer than they are, but my actual nails split so easily and look rubbish hours after a manicure. For 2015, one of my New Years Resolutions is to finally find a winning nail routine and so these treats from Look Fantastic arrived at the perfect time.
The Mavala scrub is probably my favorite item. You simply dampen your nails and then apply a little bit of the scrub onto your nails then leave them for a minute or so before using the provided nail scrub to remove the product and then rinse the product off. The whole point is to lighten your nails which I think works brilliantly! I've only used it twice and already can notice a huge difference. Actually, let me know in the comments below id you'd like to see a before and after comparison of using it.
The cuticle cream just softens the cuticles and leaves them looking clean and perfectly managed as though I've had a manicure.
To top it off, I was sent a few polishes from Jessica which is actually a brand that I have never really tried out before so I was excited to put them through their paces. In terms of coverage you only need one coat - yes seriously! the drying time is roughly 5-10 minutes and you will have a full coverage with just the one coat. They didn't chip within the first day (which is a novelty for me!) but started to chip on the second day but I was pretty damn impressed.
The Mavala scrub and cuticle cream have both firmly made it into my nail routine for 2015 and I want to try out a few more Jessica polishes and maybe try out a new top coat or something.
Let me know your thoughts on Jessica polishes below and also if you'd like to see that before and after post on the Mavala scrub.
All My Love
