Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, an independent trust that manages the temple of Sri Venkateswara Temple at Tirumala in the state of Andhra Pradesh will soon construct Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Jammu in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to reports, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has identified seven places for the construction of the temple and have decided to allocate 100 acres of land to the trust. The officials of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam are however in a discussion with the administration for finalizing the place for construction of the temple. The trust is also going to construct a Vedic school and a Hospital in Jammu in the near future.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam also has a plan to construct a Veda Pathshala in Kurukshetra and Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Varanasi and Mumbai. The Government of Mumbai has already allocated land to the trust in Bandra if the sources are to be believed.
The main temple of Sri Venkateswara Swamy is located in Tirumala, a hill town in Tirupati of Andhra Pradesh. The temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, an avatar of Lord Vishnu. It is one of the richest temples in the country.
Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple constructed by the trust, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams are also located in few other cities in India such as Hyderabad, Kanyakumari, and Kurukshetra. However, at present, the temples are under construction in Chennai, Visakhapatnam, and Bhuvaneshwar.
