Canadian one-man band Tired Cossack captures the ennui of living in dead-end town in Manitoba on his latest single, Manitoba. He mixes '80s post-punk (Sisters of Mercy-alike percussion and synths) and college rock-styled vocals, with plenty of echo. Depressing stuff, but the backbeat keeps it from going down in flames. The track will be included on his new album, Hocus Pocus, due for release on December 3rd.
