Tiny Victories’ ‘drinking with Your Ghost’ Video is Next Level Dark [premiere]

It’s no surprise that the video for a track as broodingly powerful as Tiny Victories “Drinking With Your Ghost” would be an exercise in darker moods — and with the black and white pallet, flashing lights and angular computer animation, the video explores that mood flawlessly. The track, which takes a propulsive guitar and mixes it with a fantastically emotive baritone, is a haunting piece that sounds exactly like being stuck in a constant stream of memories. The video perfectly visualizes the feeling, with its disjointed  images and stark colors — it frays nerves as much as the song speaks to them. It’s a perfect companion for a track that we are absolutely in love with. Tiny Victories album Haunts is out June 10th, and if this first single and video are any indication, it will certainly be one to watch.
