Happy to see that the Blue Jays and Mets are honoring the Montreal Expos in their exhibition series in montreal. I personally think that its time to get a baseball team out of florida and bring back the Expos. Nothing is more disgusting that turning into a Miami game and seeing 6 people in the stands. How ridiculous. Reports are that they sold 80,000 tickets in montreal for the 2 game set. Pictures of people pulling out their old Expos swag are a real tribute to how passionate people still feel about their long gone baseball team. Nostalgia alone would probably support the team for a few years. An owner that knows to hire real baseball guys to run the organization and some sound marketing should take care of the rest. What they need now is a real owner and a stadium. Their attendance history of the Expos before blowing up the team after the strike is similar to what the marlins have been achieving aside from the year that they became the Miami marlins in Marlins Park. If that town can support a baseball team, then Montreal certainly can.
